Ballet Chesapeake has developed a Nutcracker Outreach Program for pre-school children held at the Bel Air Armory in December. Ballet Chesapeake invites children, ages 2 through 6 years old, to attend an age appropriate performance that introduces children to the magic of live theater. This show includes excerpts from the Nutcracker ballet which are performed as a narrator explains the story of Clara and her magical toy. After the performance, costumed dancers lead the children to a decorated Tea Party area for refreshments.
2018 Performances will be held on Friday, December 14 at 9:15am, 11am or 12:45pm.
Parties are limited to 120 children and 60 adults and fill quickly. Any additional children or parents without a prior reserved space at the performance will be turned away. Transportation will be the responsibility of the students’ school. No refunds or exchanges.
